Using Primers and Promoters for Increased Adhesion.
UV curable inks are known for some of the best adhesion to substrate properties in the industry. Even so, there are materials that do not get the desired adhesion required for the application. Sometimes what is required is help strengthening the bond between the ink film and the substrate. DCS recommends different promoters for different materials. Each has its own recommended use and they will require a bit of testing to ensure they perform as desired. When testing a new promoter, review image quality, adhesion and durability. Final acceptance can only be judged by the customer in the intended application.
